Monday Motivation: Abs of Steel
So you want to improve your core strength, huh? Try this simple, yet extremely beneficial (and back friendly) core strengthening exercise!
Glute Bridge Exercise
The glute bridge exercise is one of my favorite exercises to prescribe to my patients because it's so easy to do anywhere, anytime! The important thing is to remember proper technique when you do this one. As you can see in the picture, you want to keep your knees 90 degrees to the heels and feel your glutes do the work. This helps strengthen your core, and better yet, take pressure off your back!
Chiropractic Care & Core Strength
If you feel like your low back is tight, achy, or restricting you from certain movements, it could be time to schedule a chiropractic consult. Often times a chiropractic manipulation in addition to an at-home exercise routine can help keep low back pain away. In addition, you will be able to focus on core strengthening and getting those abs of steel!
